A Warm Gift for a Rochester Resident in Need

Paula Tinkham, John Betlem and The Wallace GroupJohn Betlem Heating & Cooling and Johnstone Supply – The Wallace Group recently teamed up to provide a life-changing gift for Paula Tinkham, a Rochester resident known for her selfless dedication to supporting veterans and families in need. Paula was selected by a community nomination to receive a brand-new furnace and air conditioning system, free of charge.

For years, Paula has devoted herself to giving back, even while facing her own challenges. Her incredible generosity made this gesture from John Betlem and The Wallace Group especially meaningful. “When we heard Paula’s story—her dedication to helping others despite her own challenges—we knew we wanted to do something special for her,” said Jim Betlem, Director of Operations at John Betlem Heating & Cooling.

The Wallace Group generously donated the furnace and air conditioning unit, while John Betlem covered the installation costs. On the installation day, representatives from both companies, including Jim Betlem, Jason Squillante, and Craig Wallace, were on-site to ensure everything went smoothly.

For Paula, this gift was a blessing. “God has truly blessed us beyond measure,” she said. “Everything I have, I give to Him.” When asked how people could thank her for her kindness, her simple response was, “A smile, a thank you, and a hug. That’s all I ever want in return.”

This partnership reflects the ongoing commitment of John Betlem and The Wallace Group to give back to the Rochester community, ensuring families have access to safe, reliable heating and cooling while making a tangible difference in people’s lives.
